Website legal information
Website terms
These terms explain the role of the public website and how a professional engagement begins.
Last updated: 28 July 20261. General information
This website provides general information about China intellectual property services and working procedures. It is not a substitute for advice based on the facts, current official record and applicable deadlines of a specific matter.
2. Starting an engagement
Browsing the website or sending an initial inquiry does not by itself create an attorney-client, patent-agency, service or other professional relationship. Acceptance, responsible provider, scope, fees, payment arrangements and allocation of responsibility are confirmed in the written documents for each engagement.
3. Contact and deadlines
Email and telephone links are provided for initial communication. A sent message does not establish receipt, conflict clearance, acceptance, filing or deadline protection. Do not assume that Zhiquan IP is acting until this has been confirmed in writing by an authorized contact.
4. Confidentiality and conflicts
For a new inquiry, begin with party names and a concise, non-confidential summary. Do not provide privileged or highly sensitive material until an appropriate recipient and transfer method have been confirmed.
5. Patent annuity information
The annuity page describes a human-verified service and is not a live official database, online payment gateway or binding deadline calculator. Status, deadline, amount and payment instructions must be checked and confirmed in writing for the identified patent.
6. Zhiquan IP and China IP Gateway
Zhiquan IP and China IP Gateway are separate legal entities. China IP Gateway may act as an international inquiry and cross-border coordination touchpoint. The entity responsible for a specific service, contract, invoice, payment or professional task is stated in the relevant engagement documents.
7. Professional roles
Zhiquan IP is a CNIPA-registered patent agency. Where a matter requires work by a lawyer or another specifically qualified professional, that role and provider will be identified as part of the proposed scope.
8. Accuracy and external sources
Laws, official practices, fees and public records may change. Material deadlines, status, fees and procedural choices should be checked against appropriate current sources. External links remain under the control of their respective operators.
9. Website content and revisions
You may link to public pages and use short extracts with attribution where permitted by law. Do not republish substantial site content or imply endorsement without permission. These terms may be revised as website features and service arrangements change.
